Celestino (Celo) Maússe is a Process Engineer with over fifteen years of experience in the Energy and Mining sector across multiple geographies, including Sub-Saharan Africa, North America, Australia and the Middle East.​

He started his career at Sasol, where he worked on various capital projects from the research and development phase through to detailed engineering, commissioning and start-up. He has served as Country Manager and Business Development lead for Africa at multinational engineering consulting firms such as WSP Golder, SNC-Lavalin and EnerMech. ​

His experience includes gas processing operations, carbon capture and storage, environmental processing and water treatment.  He has led mechanical construction and installation projects across the continent for clients such as Sasol, Chevron, BP, Vale, Anglo American, Ambatovy and South 32.​

He is passionate about technical skills development in the energy sector,  empowering young people and contributing to the socio-economic development of Africa.
